West Tyrone Sinn Féin MLA Catherine Kelly has added her voice in support of AWARE's Mood Walk which is to take place in Omagh on Sunday 16 September and is encouraging as many as possible to take part as a fitting way to mark World Suicide Prevention Day.

The local MLA and party spokesperson for Children and Young People, who has been long standing advocate for Mental Health Awareness said,

"I would encourage as many people as possible to register for the AWARE charity's 5k/10k Mood Walk leaving from the Community House in Omagh at 2pm on Sunday 16th September.

"Coinciding, as it is, with World Suicide Prevention Day it not only provides us all with the opportunity to walk in memory of someone who has been lost to suicide but also raises awareness that help is out there for anyone struggling to cope.

"It also provides a golden opportunity to help financially support the invaluable services that AWARE provides and help increase the capacity of its outreach work to those most in need.

"So I would urge you to take the step today and register to take part @ aware-ni-org/moodwalk "
