West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor Glenn Campbell has offered condolences to the family of Liam McQuid, following his sudden death.

Cllr Campbell said,

"People in Dromore and across West Tyrone have been shocked and saddened to learn of the sudden death of Liam McQuad.

"Over many years Laim was heavily involved in community life in Dromore. A former District Councillor, he was a leading member of Dromore 2000 and a branch member of Dromore CCÉ. Liam was also a founding member of Omagh Enterprise Company and a long-standing member of Fintona Regeneration Initiative (FRI) at the Ecclesville Centre."

"I got to know Liam personally over recent years, working with him as a fellow Director on the board of Fintona Regeneration Initiative (FRI) and on the board of Omagh Enterprise Company.

"Liam was a valuable, diligent board member, who provided good guidance and leadership to the bodies upon which he served. He was highly respected locally and his death is a huge loss to the community and the various organisations he was involved in.

Concluding, Cllr Campbell said,

"On behalf of the local community, I want to extend sincere condolences to Liam's family at this sad and difficult time. " ENDS
