West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor Glenn Campbell has offered condolences to the family of Gareth Wilson from Tattyreagh who died tragically yesterday following a car accident in Cavan.
Cllr Campbell, who knew Mr Wilson when he was a student at South West College said,
"It was with great sadness that I learned today of the tragic death of Gareth Wilson. It is deeply sad that another young life has been lost on our roads. Gareth's untimely death will have come as a devastating blow to his family and many friends and a huge shock to the local community.
Describing Gareth as 'pleasant and easy-going', Cllr Campbell continued,
"Gareth was very popular amongst his peers. He was a very pleasant and easy-going young man. Like many young people of his age, he seemed to take everything in his stride. Gareth's family are highly respected in the local area and I know that the community will rally round to support his family and friends at this sad and difficult time.
Concluding, Cllr Campbell said,
"On behalf of the people of West Tyrone I want to extend sincere sympathy Gareth's family and wide circle of friends. I also want to wish his two friends, who were injured in the collision, a full and speedy recovery."
