West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor Glenn Campbell has welcomed news of a £120,000 major resurfacing scheme on the A5 Curr Road. Regional Development Minister, Danny Kennedy, made the announcement this week, stating the scheme at Kelly's Inn will start on 11 February and complete on 20 February. The development follows completion of a £280,000 scheme carried out last year at the nearby A5/Netwonsaville Road junction. Commenting on the latest announcement, Councillor Campbell said, "This will be welcome news for the people of Garvaghey, Roscavey and Eskra and many others who use this road on a regular basis. This latest scheme will further improve driving conditions and safety along this road and follows on from work last year at the A5/Newtwonsavile Road junction. " Councillor Campbell added, "I also welcome the current resurfacing work closer to Omagh at the turn off for Fintona and Seskinore. These latest road improvements are essential in the interim period before full delivery of the new A5 Dual Carriageway. "
