New Signage for Magheralough Cemetery Welcomed

Published: 18 November, 2014

West Tyrone Sinn Fein councillor Stephen McCann has welcomed new signage directing people to Magheralough Cemetery. The issue had been one the local councillor had been working alongside with Transport NI, formerly Roads Service on behalf of the local community.

Explaining the significance of the cemetery Cllr McCann said:

"Magheralough Cemetery was the main catholic burial ground for very many years and is still in use today. However given its rural setting it is often hard to locate unless you had local knowledge. Despite this however Magheralough attracts a large number of visitors. It was against this backdrop that i was approached to assist the local community in ensuring it was well signposted so that it would be easily located. I am glad that this has happened and it will be of great assistance in the years ahead.

"I would like to welcome the installation and thank Transport NI in conjunction with Kilskeery parish for provision of this valuable asset.
