McCann presses Road Service over Trillick Street Lighting

Published: 10 February, 2014

Trillick Sinn Féin representative Stephen McCann has pressed Road Service to install street lighting on the path leading from the back of Woodview Crescent to the centre of Trillick, responding to the concerns of local residents.

Mr McCann said,

"I have been inundated with calls from local residents, calling for street lighting to be installed in the 50 yard stretch from the back of Woodview Crescent to Trillick town centre. The cold dark winter evenings have proved particularly dangerous with little to no visibility for people accessing local amenities like the shop and doctor's surgery and on their way to mass."

"I have contacted Road Service to install street lighting along the affected area before someone seriously hurts themselves. This is a main pedestrian thoroughfare, with enough foot fall to justify adequate street lighting provision; I will continue to work with local residents to ensure their concerns are met."
