Sinn Féin councillor and Chairperson of Strabane District Council Ruairi McHugh has expressed his deepest sympathy to the family and friends of the Late Patsy Mc Croary, Castlederg, who was tragically killed in a road traffic collision last Wednesday outside Sion Mills. Patsy, who lived in Castlederg was buried in Dooneyloop, in his native Co.Donegal on Monday Morning, Councillor Mc Hugh said

'' I extend my deepest sympathies to the Mc Croary family and also to the friends of Patsy.

''Patsy was a former neighbour of mine and he was very much a liked and well known character in the Castlederg area. Most people knew Patsy as a loyal and dedicated Donegal supporter and he enjoyed the banter especially when his beloved Donegal played against Tyrone where he had made his home. There wasn't many supporters of Donegal as dedicated as Patsy.

''Patsy was also well known as a hard working man who had made many friends as a construction worker and I'm sure his loss will be felt by many former work colleagues and my sympathies go out to them also

'' I have no doubt that the people of Castlederg and beyond will rally round the family in the coming weeks and months ahead as Patsy's family try to come to terms with his tragic loss and I wish a speedy recovery to his wife Geraldine, daughter Samantha and son Padraig''
