Sewer Improvement Work continues in Omagh

Omagh Sinn Fein councillor Sean Begley has welcomed the announcement that work to repair a collapsed sewer in Scarf's Entry car park is imminent. The work will involve replacing 80 metres of sewer through the car park and is expected to take four weeks to complete. Speaking Omagh Town Sinn Féin councillor Sean Begley said: "I welcome confirmation that this essential work is due to commence. Whilst there will be an inconvenience in terms of parking provision the work being undertaken is essential to improve the sewerage system in Omagh. The work will ensure that the sewerage system will meet the needs of the people and will furthermore compliment the investment of £2 million investment in sewer replacement in Omagh which took place 2 years ago. "All work carried out will meet Environment Agency standards and undoubtedly enhance the sewerage system that can deal with an increase in demand and ensure that the sewerage system is fit for purpose for many years into the future.
