Councillor responds to Draft Programme for Government Framework

West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor Glenn Campbell has responded to the recently closed consultation on the Draft Programme for Government Framework. Expressing his disappointment at the lack of focus on the Irish Language, Cllr Campbell said, "I am greatly disappointed that there is no reference to the Irish Language anywhere in the document. This omission needs to be corrected. I want to see the rights of Irish language speakers, and learners, protected within the Programme for Government. Read full article

Plumbridge residents praised for pro-actively removing UDA Graffiti

McElduff Files hate Crime Complaint

Posters of local MLAs Barry McElduff and Declan McAleer on Annadale Bonfire, in South Belfast

Sinn Féin MLA Barry McElduff has said has filed a hate crime complaint with the PSNI after his election poster appeared on a loyalist bonfire site in south Belfast. His poster is one of a number of Sinn Féin MLAs whose posters adorn the Annadale bonfire. It is understood fellow Sinn Féin MLA for West Tyrone Declan McAleer also features on the bonfire.
