Councillor Ruairi Mc Hugh welcomes addition of Castlederg to Angling Fair venues

Derg Sinn Féin Councillor Ruairí Mc Hugh has welcomed the decision to include Castlederg as a host venue for Council's Fly Fair and Angling show. The matter was discussed at a recent meeting of the Business and Culture committee with Strabane, Newtownstewart and Sion Mills being originally proposed by officers to host the two day event on an annual rotational basis. Welcome for £2 million investment in Autism services.

Sinn Féin Mid Tyrone councillor Anne Marie Fitzgerald has welcomed a £2 million investment in autism services by Health Minister Simon Hamilton. The money aims to cut waiting lists for those awaiting autism assessments, the figure stood at 2,800 at the end of last year. Read full article

Mc Aleer welcomes progress of Land Compensation Bill

West Tyrone MLA Declan Mc Aleer has welcomed the decision of DRD Minister Michelle Mc Ilveen to introduce the Land Acquisition and Compensation (Amendment) Bill. If implemented, the new policy would entitle land owners who have their land vested to an additional 10% compensation payment. Read full article
