Sinn Fein slam PSNI after Easter lily charges amounts to nothing in court

Sinn Féin has slammed the PSNI over arrests and charges for two Republicans in relation to Easter lily distribution. The charges were thrown out against one and seen one given a discharge after conclusion of the case in Omagh within the past week. Read full article

Loughmacrory to get its own Polling Station

For the first time ever, the people of Loughmacrory will be able to cast their votes in the village after the electoral office accepted local requests to use the Loughview centre as a Polling station on Election Day, which is expected to take place on 7th May. Read full article

Several successes from Polling Station review- Doherty

West Tyrone Sinn Féin MP Pat Doherty has received confirmation that several proposals he submitted to the 2014 Polling Scheme Review have been accepted and will be included in the revised scheme when it is published at the end of January. The Polling station review closed in December 2014 and gave people the opportunity to express concerns or proposals around the location of specific polling stations. Read full article

Boyle welcomes announcement of £90,000 Pedestrian and cycleway improvement scheme for Strabane

West Tyrone Sinn Féin MLA Michaela Boyle has welcomed an announcement from the DRD Minister Danny Kennedy that a £90,000 footway upgrade scheme incorporating a shared cycling path at Upper Main Street and Townsend Street, Strabane is set to begin on Wednesday 28 January. The investment will result in the construction of 280metres of shared footway and cycleway to connect a footbridge, currently being constructed by Strabane District Council to the retail area at Upper Main Street. Work is expected to last around 4 Weeks. Read full article

Sinn Féin has provided details of a series of public meetings they have planned throughout the north on the topic of CAP Reform. According to West Tyrone Sinn Féin MLA and member of the DARD committee, Declan Mc Aleer "In the current round of engagements, we have held public meetings in Augher, Creggan and Draperstown. Work to alleviate Clady flooding problems to begin late January-Mc Hugh
