Vigilance required following further spate of thefts-Carlin

Strabane Sinn Féin Cllr Karina Carlin says that following recent spate of thefts/attempting thefts from cars in the Carrick Strand/Ballycolman and Laurel Drive, she has now been contacted by residents in the Jefferson Court/Carricklynn Avenue area of the town about the theft of property from cars and gardens in the area over recent days. Republicans commemorate 40th anniversary of the 'Three Volunteers'

Republicans from throughout Ireland gathered in Tyrone last week to take part in a series of events to commemorate the 40th anniversary of Vols. Dermot Crowley, Patrick Carty and Sean Loughran. The three volunteers were killed on active service outside Omagh on 25th June 1973. Read full article

Trillick Leisure Centre Vandalism Condemned

West Tyrone Sinn Féin councillor Peter Kelly has condemned vandalism caused to the Trillick Leisure Centre in the past number of weeks. Speaking after a considerable amount of lead was removed from the roof the local councillor, who sits on the Board of Directors for the Leisure centre, said the vandalism would have an adverse affect for those using the centre.
