Beragh Bridge Work nearing completion.

West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty and Mid Tyrone councillor Sean Donnelly inspect the ongoing bridge works in Beragh

Road users and pedestrians alike in Beragh will soon be availing of new widened bridge and footpath, linking Beragh Main Street and Cooley Road.West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty, who had fought for the project, has welcomed progress on the scheme after visiting the site on Tuesday morning. Political pressure mounts for progress on A5

As the fallout from the judicial decision to stall the A5 continues, political pressure is mounting for the Roads Minister to address the remaining outstanding EU Habitats directive and move ahead with the project. Council Support for OASIS Project

Sinn Féin Omagh Town Councillor Sean Begley has welcomed the council support for the OASIS project, set to rejuvenate an area of Omagh Town centre. Easter Graveside Commemoration in Edendork

On Saturday evening, a graveside commemoration was held at the Republican plot in Edendork. Cllr Dominic Molloy chaired the proceedings, while Councillor, Larry Mc Lernon read the Easter Proclamation and Cllr Sean Mc Guigan read the Tyrone Roll of Honour. The main address was given by Michelle Gildernew MP. During her speech Michelle said: 'It is the task of this generation of Irish Republicans to make our vision of a United Ireland a reality. This is the best memorial to all of Ireland's Patriot Dead, and it is only through achieving this ultimate objective that we will have a true Irish Republic worthy of its name'. Read full article
