Sinn Féin to commemorate 20th anniversary of Tommy Casey

Tommy Casey is commemorated on the Remembering Quilt which will be on display in Kileenan chapel from 6pm on Tuesday 26th October

This Tuesday evening will mark the 20th anniversary of the death of Tyrone Sinn Féin activist, and father of 11 children, Tommy Casey. Tommy was shot dead by Loyalist gunmen after arriving at a neighbour's house on 26th October 1990. Read full article

Local community groups to benefit from grant aid.

Local West Tyrone Sinn Féin Councillor, Ann Quinn has welcomed Omagh District Councils allocation of over £27,000 in grant aid towards Christmas events in the district. The grant aid applies to Christmas 'switch on' events as well as aid for particular initiatives or events. Read full article

On Wednesday evening, the Mayor of Dungannon Council, Michelle O Neill hosted a civic ceremony to commemorate the death of Cllr Martin Mc Caughey. Martin was killed on active service with Vol Dessie Grew on 9th October 1990. Read full article
