Doherty heralds Ministerial Planning Approval for massive Business Park in Strabane.

Sinn Féin West Tyrone MP MLA Pat Doherty says that confirmation from Environment Minister Edwin Poots that he is to grant planning approval for the development of an 11.5 hectre Business Park in Strabane as the removal of the last major obstacle in the way of delivering this much needed economic development project for the District. Anger as Shooting range approval proposed.

There is outrage in Drumquin after Planning Service have recommended an approval to a shooting range in the kirlish area of the village. The application will come before the planning meeting of Omagh District Council on Monday evening with a proposed approval for the application despite objections of local people and community representatives. Thousands commemorate deaths of Strabane IRA volunteers

Progress on Irish Language - Adams

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams in his Blog 'leargas' (www.leargas.blogsport.com) has revealed that the Minister for Culture, Arts and Leisure,' Nelson McCausland, has committed to bringing forward a draft strategy on minority languages to the Executive by the end of March, one element of which will be "to enhance and protect the development of the Irish language as set out in Section 28D of the 'NI (St. Andrews) Act 2006'."
