Planning co-operation key to progressing Rural Development Projects-Doherty

Sinn Fein West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty has welcomed a commitment from Environment Minister Sammy Wilson that priority will be given to planning applications dependent on grant aid and other commercial, industrial and social infrastructure proposals saying that such an 'expedited approach' will be particularly essential if the full potential of the Rural Development Programme (2007-2013) is to be realised. Kelly welcomes Trillick Surgery progress

Sinn Fein West Tyrone MP Pat Doherty has called upon Health Minister Michael Mc Gimpsey to overturn his previous decision to refuse a full Independent Public Inquiry into the circumstances by which deceased Strabane woman Maureen Mc Ginley was found, upon post mortem, to have sustained 32 rib fractures following her death at Altnagelvin hospital on 3rd January 2007. Water system back to normal for Co Tyrone residents

Cllr Brian Mc Mahon, Sinn Féin group leader on Strabane District Council, has announced that long standing party activist Michaela Boyle has been selected by local party members as the proposed co-option to fill the vacancy left on the local government body as a result of the death of esteemed party colleague Ivan Barr last month. He has also announced that the Sinn Fein grouping will be proposing Cllr Jarlath Mc Nulty for the position of Council Chair when the AGM of Strabane District Council convenes on Tuesday night.
